Privacy Policy

Welcome to utility.school ("the Site"). This page explains, in plain language, what this Site does and does not do with your information. The short version: our tools run on your device, we do not ask you to sign up, and we do not store the values you enter.

1. About this Site

utility.school is a collection of free online utility tools — text tools (word counter, case converter, word unscrambler, find & replace, slug generator, lorem ipsum), converters (units, color, base64, number base, roman numeral, time zone), generators (QR code, password, UUID, random number, username), and calculators (BMI, percentage, scientific, tip, age, loan / EMI, mortgage, compound interest, GPA, calories, macros, discount, and more).

All of these tools work entirely in your web browser. There is no account, no login, and no form that asks for your personal details.

2. What happens to the data you enter

When you type a number, amount, name or text into any tool:

  • It is processed locally on your device by your browser.
  • It is not sent to us, not stored on our servers, and not shared with anyone.
  • When you use a Copy button, the result is placed on your device's clipboard only — it never leaves your computer or phone.

The only time your input travels over the internet is if you choose to copy it and paste it somewhere else. We have no record of it.

3. Information we may collect automatically

Like most websites, basic technical details are recorded in standard server logs when you visit, for example:

  • IP address and approximate location (country/region),
  • Browser and operating system,
  • The pages you view and the date and time.

These logs are used to keep the Site secure, fast and working, and to see which tools are used most. They are not linked to you personally and are not sold.

4. Cookies & third-party advertising (Google AdSense)

The Site displays advertising served by Google AdSense. To show relevant ads, Google and its partners may use cookies and small tracking technologies (web beacons) and may record information about your visits to this and other websites.

Your choice: You can opt out of personalized advertising any time at Google's Ads Settings. You can also manage third-party ad vendors at www.aboutads.info.

Google's handling of advertising data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the practices of third-party advertisers or ad networks.

5. Cookies we control

Aside from third-party advertising cookies, we do not set cookies that track your identity. Any cookies used are limited to what is needed to keep the Site functioning (for example, remembering a display preference).

6. Links to other websites

The Site may link to external websites (including the Google privacy pages above). We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and we encourage you to read the privacy policy of every site you visit.

7. Children's privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Data security

Because our tools process your input locally, most actions never involve your data reaching our servers at all. For the limited technical log data we do keep, we use reasonable safeguards. No online system is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or US state privacy laws), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data, or to object to processing. Because we collect very little personal data, most requests will have little to act on — but you are welcome to ask.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.

This policy is general information, not legal advice.
